Muhammad Mosque No. 46, located in New Orleans, LA, has initiated an impactful book giveaway campaign aimed at spreading knowledge and empowerment within the community. Spearheaded by the generosity of a dedicated member of the mosque, who generously purchased 100 copies of the book “Message to the Black Man” by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, this campaign seeks to disseminate valuable literature to those eager for enlightenment.
The dedicated efforts of both the Muslim Girls Training (MGT) and the Fruit of Islam (FOI) of Muhammad Mosque No. 46 have been instrumental in the successful distribution of these books. The MGT played an integral role by distributing copies during a monthly fish sandwich sale held at a local African American museum. Their commitment to community service and education has helped reach individuals seeking knowledge and enlightenment.
Furthermore, the FOI, under the leadership of Student Captain, Brother Jason Muhammad, took proactive measures to ensure widespread access to the books. Setting up distribution stations in strategic locations frequented by community members, the FOI ensured that the books reached a diverse audience. ““Everyone can play a part in the upliftment of our people, whether you are a financer or one who is willing to go out in the field. I’m happy to have an opportunity to play a part,” stated Brother Dwyane Muhammad, a member of the New Orleans Fruit of Islam.
Alongside the distribution of books, the FOI also disseminated flyers highlighting the defamation lawsuit filed against the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and others. This legal action was taken in response to their false labeling of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam as anti-Semites, emphasizing the importance of addressing misinformation and defending the integrity of the Nation of Islam.
Each book distributed by the FOI was affixed with a QR code, providing recipients with access to a curated playlist containing messages by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. These messages address various critical issues impacting the Black community, offering guidance, inspiration, and empowerment to those who engage with them.
The book giveaway campaign undertaken by Muhammad Mosque No. 46 serves as a testament to the commitment of the mosque and its members to uplift and empower the community through knowledge, education, and activism. By providing access to valuable literature and insightful messages, the mosque continues to make meaningful contributions to the intellectual and spiritual growth of its members and the broader community. “We are thankful for the Believer who purchased and donated the books. It allowed us to place in the hands one of the most profound books that contains the Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. We pray that each who received a copy read it as well as scan the QR code to access the lectures by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan that will help to deepen their understanding of what they read,” stated Brother Willie Muhammad, Student Minister of Muhammad Mosque No. 46.
